To say our son LOVES going to Weyburn Cooperative Playschool would be a huge understatement. He’s always asking if it’s a “school day” so he can go see his friends and learn and create something new.
Funny story: after a parent volunteered to fill in for Mrs. Akins he said, “Mom, I don’t really like her mom being there I just want our “new teacher” back ha ha.
Our daughter is already excited and practicing packing her backpack for school in fall of 2022 When we had a meet and greet before school started this fall she instantly connected with the place and didn’t want to leave. (We literally had to carry her out screaming at the end).
I asked Alder some questions about what he loves but he’s being a grump and didn’t know what to say lol. I know I appreciate that they learn a ton while also having a lot of time to play and explore and just be curious little kiddos.
I’m so happy that we have this school in our community, I really feel like it’s made learning so fun for him and that he’ll have a great start to kindergarten because of it.
Seriously THANK YOU both so much for everything you do. I can’t imagine it’s an easy job but it’s one of the most important ones! (As I get a tad emotional over here) You literally are helping these young souls form beliefs about themselves and the world around them that they will carry around for the rest of their lives. Taking interest in what they love and encouraging them to explore means the absolute world to them. You help instil confidence, hold space for them while they learn how to navigate their emotions, and the list goes on and on. Those words.. thank you.. doesn’t even come close to the gratitude I feel for what you do on the daily
Forever grateful for you amazing ladies,
- Jasmine
