🍎Mrs. Luanne Akins
Our teacher, Luanne Akins has been working with young children for 28 years.
She worked in the school division with many students with diverse needs, also as a speech/language assistant and most recently worked in Pre-K alongside Tammy Grieve, who pioneered the Pre-K program for South East Cornerstone School Division in Weyburn.
Luanne has a diploma in Early Childhood Education and was honored to receive the Distinguished Graduate Award.
Her extensive experience, musical talent, creativity, passion and enthusiasm make her the ideal teacher for the Playschool!
🍎 Miss. Kristal Elliott
Kristal Elliott is the Teacher’s Assistant at Weyburn Cooperative Playschool.
She was born and raised on a farm near Virden, Manitoba, but moved to Weyburn 10 years ago. She has an Office Administration Diploma from Assiniboine Community College and has worked at the Playschool for 10 years.
Kristal is the perfect partner for this team! She works hard, shares great ideas and is adored by the students. Her favourite part of the job is hearing the children’s stories and watching them have fun and make friends.
